Russian Delegates Visit The Vandiver Group
Mar 28th, 2011 by Claire Eckelkamp
Russian delegates from the Community Connections Program (CCP) visited the Vandiver Group this afternoon to learn about public relations and communications practices for non-profits. CCP is managed by the Bureau of Europe and Eurasia at the U.S. Agency for Information Development (USAID) and is run locally by the World Affairs Council of St. Louis.
The Community Connections Program is designed to promote public diplomacy through exchanges of cultural ideas and values and create a positive exchange of ideas and business approaches between professionals in Russia and the U.S. The discussion centered on PR agencies and how they are run in the U.S., specifically how they work with non-profit clients to develop campaigns. There were 12 delegates from the Russian city of Novosibirsk in attendance, along with a translator to help facilitate the conversation.
Here are a few photos from the visit. For information about TVG’s non-profit work, click here.
