Taking to the Streets

Hundreds of thousands of people will flood the streets of Downtown St. Louis this weekend to march, parade, saunter or walk for a cause. This weekend, our city will play host to both the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the St. Louis Pride Fest.
The Race for the Cure will celebrate its 14th year in St. Louis this Saturday. Participants will race or even just walk a downtown course to raise money for cancer research, while enjoying the sea of people, buildings and familiar sights all adorned in pink.
This year marks the 33rd annual Pride Fest in St. Louis, which will be happening in another part of the city. The festivities begin Saturday morning in Tower Grove Park, and aim to boost LGBT recognition and equality in the community. The event will culminate with the annual Pride Parade Sunday afternoon.
Many local companies have given their support as sponsors for these events, along with an endless list of individuals and small groups. Will you or your company be participating in the festivities this weekend?
