Account Executive

Social Media Emphasis

The job duties of an Account Executive with an emphasis on social media for The Vandiver Group include but are not limited to the following:

Client Account Work:

  • Develop monthly social media content calendars for a variety of clients
  • Schedule social media content to post for clients
  • Create visuals to accompany social media posts
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly social media analytics for clients
  • Measure impact and ROI on social media activities by client
  • Monitor and manage social media communities for clients

TVG Promotions:

  • Draft blog posts to be published on the TVG website
  • Write content to be published on TVG’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram accounts
  • Monitor and manage all of TVG’s social accounts
  • Assist with weekly and monthly metrics reports for TVG social accounts
  • Assist with graphic design for TVG social accounts
  • Organize and maintain TVG stock photography files

New Business Development:

  • Prepare social media strategy for new business presentation and proposals
  • Create case histories focused on social media success stories
  • Advise on the newest trends and how to integrate social media into new business meetings and proposals
  • Prepare budgets for social media campaigns and tactics

Other:

  • Identify conferences, webinars and learning opportunities around social media for TVG staff
  • Interface with interdisciplinary teams at TVG (graphics, traditional public relations, research) to create integrated digital campaigns
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for TVG promotion, client accounts, and new business
  • Assist wherever necessary as a part of the TVG team

Required Qualifications:

  • A qualified candidate will hold a BA/BS degree in communications, public relations, journalism, social sciences, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in an agency environment or similar, handing multiple social media accounts for clients
  • Candidate must be able to be comfortable working under tight deadlines, have exceptional writing and editing abilities, and great strategic thinking skills. Must be comfortable in a team environment, and able to take the lead when necessary on client work.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign and other graphic design programs a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience in social media management, digital communications, project management and graphic design
  • Master’s degree in communications or related field
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience
